Glossary_terms
Some of the terms we use can seem a little confusing to the average home owner. Here's a small list to help you understand what we're talking about.
Fascia - A trim board placed at the end of the trusses. The fascia board hides the truss ends and provides a surface to mount gutters to.
Soffit - Placed between the fascia board and the wall sheathing, the soffit allows for some of the attic ventilation through a screened vent.
Channel - Channel is used around windows and doors to hide the expansion and contraction of the siding during hot and cold cycles. Siding must be secured tight enough to resist damamge due to wind, but loose enough to allow the siding to move during these cycles.
Wraps - Maintenance-free wraps to go around existing columns, beams and window and door trim.
